You guys, this is one of those ones that would look so neat printed big up on the wall in your bedroom! I love this sweet sweet moment.

They already have such a great time together :)

S loves to help A when he’s taking off his jammies (and apparently he loves it too):

Loved seeing you guys again!

OK, before I show you all the adorable pictures of these two guys, I had to start with the most awesome mom shot. If this doesn’t tell the story of a mom of two boys under three, I don’t know what does :)

Now back to these two handsome boys:

Whee!

Grandpa stopped by so we could make sure we got a three generations shot:

And my dad made the connection with this family for me, so I had to post this one in his honor. I know he wishes his granddaughters took the same interest in golf as this little guy.

Wonderful to meet you guys!

The final shoot of the 12 family mini-shoot day was a pair of twins I hadn’t seen since they were newborn sweeties, and now they’re big one year olds. Perfect one year olds.

The light was streaming through the trees, all was right with the world :)

Except when K was told she was not allowed to eat leaves. She did not like that rule.

But she got over it :)

Whee!

Love how K won’t stand here, and she’s cracking her mama up. T is completely calm, showing his skills :)

Another Wheee!

And the ladies too…
Mama and her two. Wonderful to see you guys!

I love shoots like this one! We got to go walking around the North End and grabbed so many classic Boston shots in the process. Without looking at the tags at the bottom of the post, how many Boston landmarks can you spot?

Oh wait, but first, let me introduce you to our little birthday boy star of the show. Mr. C – with his raised eyebrow here, enjoying a puff snack before we headed out:

Look at those big steps :)

Wheee!

Mama tickles:

Look who’s walking:

Peek!

And after our walk, we came home to a Grandpa…

and Grandma visit!

Look who’s UNO! Happy birthday, sweet boy :) So honored to document the actual day.

I say this every year, I know, but these guys make me so happy every time I have a shoot with them. They just ooze love out of every pore – their (now 5! year old – can’t believe it, kindergartener) sweet boy is just an absolute inspiration. As Kim (his mama) put it so eloquently on the contest page of my blog last year, as she described a photo from the 2010 shoot where Jack walked holding hands with his parents:
Our family has been through so much in Jack’s four years. I love this picture so much because it inspires me to believe that anything is possible, and makes me proud to be the parent of such a special child. There were times that we were told Jack may not make it through the night or to his next birthday, but we never gave up hope. This picture to me symbolizes how far we’ve come and that we have to remember that life is a journey that you take one step at a time.
Well they’ve taken lots of steps together this year, and Jack and his parents have tons to be proud of. Not the least of which is their huge, amazing love.

Daddy tickles:

Up in the air:

High-fiving mama:

Giving Rocky some kisses:

Loving Mickey Mouse Clubhouse:

And this is my favorite series of two pictures – Jack was obviously really worried about going down the slide, but his mama helped him… she knew he could do it, so she gave him support and helped him get started.

And at the bottom of the slide… a little proud smile peeked out. So perfect.

But this guy loves NOTHING more than the swings.

Maybe partially because his parents are really fun.

But I know it’s so freeing to fly so high up there.

You guys inspire me every time I see you. So happy for you.

This is one of my FAVORITE pictures I’ve ever taken. Love. Love. Love.

Met these cuties last weekend, when what was supposed to be a rainy day cleared up for us and allowed us to play both inside and outside.
Inside we got to do fun things like play on the bed…

Play the piano…

Chat with bear friends…

And color some princess books.

Big grins inside:

And big grins outside:

And of course we had to play on the swings a bit outside.

Wonderful to meet you guys, thanks for having me come out!

Don’t you just love how this little sweetheart opens her mouth so wide to smile for us? With her cute little tongue peeking out?

Having some fun with Dad:

And then, wait, not so sure about what Dad just suggested…

Love this, with mama looking on…

We got to pop outside at the end of the shoot — a girlie and her mama again:

Flying!

Great to meet you guys!

Big one year old C invited his grandparents to his shoot a couple of weeks ago, and it was fun from start to finish.

See what I mean about fun grandparents?

Wonderful seeing you guys as always!

Working our way through last Saturday’s mini-shoots – we’re up to my 4th shoot. I was so excited to see this little guy again…

I like his roaring dinosaur imitation.

With his Pop.

The last time I saw this guy, it was last September and he was 3 weeks old. (That’s one of my favorite shots from last fall’s shoot…)

His monkey imitation:

Wonderful to see you guys again! Happy birthday, big boy.

It was really fun to get back to see this guy – the last time I saw him he was a little round chubby babe, and now he’s such a big boy.

See what I mean?

A big bubble together:

Completely and totally upside-down. And thrilled about it.

We got to play trains :)

I love how this one looks like he’s completely destroying things/knocking his dad over – he wasn’t at all, but this makes me smile anyway.

Balance…

And I didn’t set these guys up. Seriously. They sat like this on their own :) I love that.

Wheeeee!

Cracking up with Dad:

Wonderful to see you guys!

I think this one’s my favorite from S’s photoshoot last Wednesday – everyone’s faces are so excited together:

Big boy S playing inside:

And this one looks like an ad for Thomas the Tank Engine, don’t you think?

A pretty mama pic:

And this is the flying dude pic I was referring to…

Bubbles!

And I love love love this squirm as his mom gets him with the bubbles:

The best. You guys rock. So fun hanging with you.

Got some great moments with these sweet girls last week with their mom and their dad. Everybody had fun:

With everybody else. This one I just think is so pretty…

And I’ve never taken pictures as a little one looked through a book of facial expressions — so fun. Here’s “sad”:

Never to be outdone, though – here’s “happy”:

And the best – with the arm in the air. Wheeeeee!

So I’ll admit I don’t know much about soccer, but I am sure there are soccer players out there who have signature moves, and whose signature moves started early, when they were really young. Big brother D and his little sister S loved kicking soccer balls around during their shoot, and my favorite part of it was S’s arm that shot to the sky every time she made a big kick. Here’s an action shot showing the move. I assume we’ll be using this photo when she’s a soccer star someday, proving she was doing this move in her early years.

Peering out at the squirrels:

And we have a bunch of pics of the two of them giggling and laughing, but I keep coming back to this one. I love their big gorgeous eyes and their calm togetherness:

D is an incredibly gentle, sweet big brother. This was not staged one bit – I was following these guys outside to play, and when they got to the stairs, D helped S step down. No joke. I like the shadow of their clasped hands on the stair.

I haven’t seen D since he was 18 months old – and look at him now. I love this grin.

These pigtails kill me.

Flying!

Mama and her munchkins. Father’s Day present much?

Another of those sweet, sweet, unstaged moments. Seriously? You’re legitimately going to high five, in the cutest way imaginable (in the best light imaginable)? Dimples and all.

So fun to see you guys again!

Just kidding – not really a chicken fight. But so cute anyway :)

Mama and her handsome little man:

Dad tossing his sweet girl in the air. Don’t you love the way the light frames her here?

And then a girlie shot:

And one with the men of the house.

So excited to get to know you guys next year at ANS – thanks for a great shoot. And that’s all folks! The last of the spring charity 20 minute mini-sessions in the Boston Public Garden. 26 fantastic families, 26 awesome photoshoots. Hoping to slip one of these mini-session days into my September calendar this fall. Shoot me an email and I’ll add you to my monthly newsletter to be notified when the date is announced.
