Now it’s possible Harry the fabulous black lab was overly affectionate during my visit last Friday, but it’s also possible he showers his new sister E with this many kisses all day every day. He is enamored, and I think it’s possible he’s spent the last month with E giving her as much love as he possibly can. Happy 4 week birthday today, E, sorry these pictures took me all week to get to you!

I mean, come on now – aren’t the licks just perfect? E really didn’t seem to mind too much, except maybe in this next one, as her eyes tell Daddy she’s maybe not having as much fun with the licks as she was before :) I do love dog/baby kissing pictures. Whenever I get a good one, I tag the post, so if you like them too, there are more here (keep scrolling down the page after you click to see the other ones).

So back to the beginning. When I first arrived, baby E was snoozing on mama, but we had to grab a quick shot of her on this gorgeous antique chaise (is this a chaise?) with dragonflies on it. She’s so tiny snoozing here.

But I should let you get a good look at her. Isn’t she just perfect?

Getting some sustenance.

Relaxing on dad in her favorite hat from the delivery room.

Hanging out with mama:

Tiny toes!

With her uber-helpful awesome grandmother.

Three generations of ladies:

It was such a pleasure to meet you guys! Thanks for having me out to meet your sweet girlie.

I started taking pictures of these two back in 2005, when L was three years old and W was one. And now here we are, on shoot #8 – with a gorgeous 9 year old girl and a handsome 7 year old boy. Time FLIES.
Dreamy, perfect Posey-McPoserton shot. Well done, everybody, including Gandalf ;)

The lovely Miss, with her festive pumpkin:

Toothless wonder – doesn’t this one look like an ad for a dentist? I’d totally go to this dentist if he promised I’d get to have toothless boys as awesome as W.

Gandalf love.

Got to include some fun grandparents this time :)

Da boyz.

Da ladeez.

Plumb tuckered out. Modeling is exhausting!
Loved seeing you guys, as always.

When this little beauty’s mama emailed me about her photoshoot, she warned me that her daughter (and I’m quoting here) “has a ton, and I mean a ton, of hair ;)”
I loved it. She’s gorgeous, and the hair is fabulous.

We started off with barrettes to tame it – that looked great too:

But at a certain point we just had to go for it :)

Those toes need a lick…

And I was JUST talking about Sophie the giraffe with someone recently – a universal fave:

Kind of her to lift her foot to leave a spot for the logo, don’t you think?

And I just love this mama girlie pic:

Wonderful to meet you guys, thanks for having me out!

Big one year old C invited his grandparents to his shoot a couple of weeks ago, and it was fun from start to finish.

See what I mean about fun grandparents?

Wonderful seeing you guys as always!

Isn’t he gorgeous? Look at those cheeks!

Is our new brother sad? Dad, what can we do to help?

Pirate face — arrrrrgggghhh!

Wonderful to meet you guys!

Look at this big handsome boy! Can’t believe this year went by so fast. I saw him a few times this year – when he was just 10 days old and then again when he was a big boy of 3 months old, and then just now, for his one year pictures. It was his ACTUAL birthday, too – last week. I always feel so honored to spend birthdays with little ones, and this guy was so much fun.
Sorry these pictures took me so long to send to you guys!

His block was stuck under the chair. Um, some help here?

Loved seeing you again, big man :)

I just looked through this handful of my favorite shots from this session, and they reminded me of that expression “go big, or go home”. These adorable girls had big expressions for the whole session. Look first at these BIG smiles:

And everyone with big smiles here, too – except the pugs, who don’t, I guess, do “big”.

Now we did have one moment of the other kind of big… big wails:

But mere moments later (literally, I looked at the timestamp – this shot was 14 seconds after the above shot) – S was back to being thrilled by her dad’s playing…

And do you believe this grin?

The tongue’s the best part. Well, that and the dimple. Oh, and the thigh roll. Oh, ok, and the pug in the bottom corner. I guess I like this shot a little bit.

Sister time. :)

I had to work hard to make sure that every picture of this little guy wasn’t smiling, because he’s just such a happy guy. I think this is my favorite shot, though:

Look at these killer eyelashes, too:

And using his walker, a total pro:

Relaxing with the whole gang:

High-five for mom:

Showing off the crawling skills. I feel like his right hand looks like he’s drumming his fingers here, waiting for something important…

This big boy just turned ONE, so we had to take a picture in front of the mural dad painted:

Actually, this next picture is competing to be my favorite one… I’m going back and forth.

This one cracks me up – belly!

So much fun to spend time with you guys.

I haven’t seen big boy J since he was his little brother D’s age – and now he’s a big brother, having a fantastic time with his little brother. They were both just balls of energy throughout the photoshoot last weekend – and this is my #1 favorite shot of the two of them. It’s terrible of me, but it just cracks me up how J is hollering as he puts his full body weight on D’s little hand, and D’s expression is just so perfect. Ouch!

My second favorite shot – this just tells the best story:

Gorgeous boy, and for some reason I really adore the lock of mom’s hair that is in the corner of this frame – it shows a really neat sense of movement or something.

D getting a tickle from his mama:

And then I have a favorite serious shot of both of them…

And this one too – love the lips so much:

The boys had this fantastic antique fire truck in the living room for the pictures – really cool:

Group cuddle, with pup included.

So great to see you guys again! Can’t wait to show you the rest of the pictures.

I am so into this shot of this family’s sweet pup Monte. The kiddos in the background become secondary to his handsomeness :) Don’t you imagine it’s the way every dog imagines themselves in their owner’s eyes?

Oh OK, we’ll look at some pictures of the kids too. Aren’t they gorgeous?

They have a killer roof deck, and this shot with the Pru in the background is fun for so many reasons. Smallest sister D is so not the “jump off the bench” idea. Isn’t her expression perfect?

Another fantastic moment with all three:

Hugs and kisses for mama:

Silly faces behind dad:

Big sister L, who is all of a sudden super tall, elegant, and a lovely big girl.

Middle brother E, and his perfect grin:

And little sister D is all of a sudden a little girl instead of a baby – beautiful!

Wonderful to see you guys as always.

Oh, and last but never least, the star of the show…

This big handsome boy loved showing me his skills with a crayon this past weekend:

And giving his dog some love. I adore this pup’s expression here. It’s so patient, but yet so knowing… As if he’s saying, “Really, guys? Really?” Reminds me of a photo I took a few years back of my little girl and our cat.

He took a bit of time playing stickers with his momma:

And then we went for a walk. I love the light through the trees here:

Played a bit of t-ball:

Doesn’t mom look gorgeous here?

Big boy J was so obliging to turn and show me his nice smile while he ran :)

Swinging:

Giving mom some love:
It was really great to meet you guys!

One year old twin guys A and S will, I’m certain, be horrified by this photo when they’re older. But you know what? That’s OK. Because really, who are these photos for? They’re not for the boys when they grow up! They’re for us, now. And I’ll tell you all the things I love about this. A’s tight sweet curls in back. S’s pucker. The daisies in crisp focus over on the side of the shot. The light framing the boys. The bokeh (photo term – just means out of focus background, spotty light like this). It really couldn’t be more perfect. What sweet, sweet boys.

And they investigated the flowers fully after their smooch, too:

Here they are inside with their big brother C, who I’ve been taking pictures of since he was just a few months old:

I really don’t believe how big he is.

S hid in the grass. But I found him ;)

Sweet A pointed out where his big brother was:

And never forget Stanley! He’s been a fixture in the photos all these years. What a handsome guy.

Just a quick Stanley blast-from-the-past… here he is in 2005 with big brother C when he was only 3 months old. This shot…

…reminds me of this shot. Both guys are bigger now, but that same echo of form happens here…

Ta-da! :) So much fun to see you guys again.

These guys invited their friend over with her new puppy for the photoshoot – they thought it’d make for cute photos as the kids had time to play with him. They were right!

And little sister B came down from her nap and gave us some big smiles:

Aren’t they sweet together?

Giggles:

Silly faces:

Even on a yucky rainy day last weekend we grabbed a few minutes running around outside with the pup:

And last but not least, the boys regaled me with a fabulous concert. They’d even printed up tickets for the show… I was seated in the “orchestra” and requested not to move around… even given my press pass ;)

The rest of the audience was in awe of the show, too. Thanks for having me back, guys. As always, it was wonderful seeing you :)

This mom and I have been emailing since 2007 about doing a shoot with her family and two dogs… I’m so glad we finally got to do it. Back in April when she booked this shoot, she was concerned about her older pup, Annie – worried that her cancer might get the better of her before we got a chance to take these pictures. But she made it! Sweet old pup – she gave lots of love to 2 year old big boy G:

And these guys had lots of fun together:

A shot with the whole gang, yay!

And a toss in the air from dad:

A classic shot of this sweet boy. Isn’t he handsome? I love the way the windowshades are reflecting the light behind him, too.

This is apparently the face G always makes when they get to this page of “How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night?” (he’s imitating a dinosaur crying, of course) :)

And I had to include this one – I love his expression as he finds his favorite garbage man. It was great to meet you guys and get a chance to take pictures of you all, thanks for everything!
