It’s been just about two years since I saw this little South End cutie for his (maternity and then) newborn pictures. And now I got to come back and visit for some more belly pictures of his pretty mama and fun daddy, quick before they move out of their place. Can’t wait to meet #2!

There’s something added into this classic shot… wonder if you can spy it…

Love that tongue :)

Such a pleasure to run around with you guys – thanks for having me visit. See you in a few weeks! Yay!

Yay, maternity photos again! It’s been a month or two since I took someone’s belly pictures, and I forgot how much fun it always is. This lovely sweet mama is not only gorgeous, but (see to the right behind her) she’s successfully keeping an orchid alive – something I’ve never been able to do. Apparently the trick is three ice cubes once a week? That’s the perfect amount of water. I have to admit I’m excited to try orchids again with this cool tidbit under my belt.
But back to gorgeous M…

She’s 34 weeks along here – I love the way the light hits her belly on the front right of this picture, just showing exactly how round and smooth it is.

I’m going to let you just look at pictures, I can’t gush too much more about how sweet M is and how fun it was to take her picture. Enjoy :)

Wonderful to meet you!

These two little girls are waiting, waiting, waiting soooo patiently for their little sister or brother to arrive. And I’m going to try a blog post with a lot fewer words. Let’s see how this goes. I feel like the pictures tell enough of a story…

Wait, but just one more thing. Isn’t this a neat family shot, and do you believe Ali (mom) is due in 3 weeks, but still lifting 3 year old L high in the sky? Putting the rest of us to shame, girlie!

These guys were my 3rd Public Garden mini-shoot last Sunday, and I didn’t even know mom was pregnant before we met up there… so exciting! She looked incredible, and big boy B was adorable and ready to have a great time running his little 16 month old legs around the Garden.
The weeping willows tickle the nose when you nuzzle up to them, you know. The things you only figure out when you’re a toddler…

Tickle those toes!

Handsome guy:

Splash splash –

Congratulations again on your impending arrival, guys!

Three years ago, I took pictures of this little guy in his pretty mama’s belly, and it was so much fun for me to get to see them again, but this time to celebrate his little brother or sister’s impending arrival. Love this tender moment:

A PERFECT circle. No joke. No Photoshop trickery here.

Asking baby questions:

Reaching…

A cuddle for mama:

Handsome, handsome boy.

Pretty mama by the window:

All hands on deck!

Love the wedding photo in the background. Looks like this should be titled “The Story of a Family”

Sweet baby smooches:

And lastly, palming the basketball belly. Wonderful to share this time with you guys again, thanks so much for calling!

This big handsome boy loved showing me his skills with a crayon this past weekend:

And giving his dog some love. I adore this pup’s expression here. It’s so patient, but yet so knowing… As if he’s saying, “Really, guys? Really?” Reminds me of a photo I took a few years back of my little girl and our cat.

He took a bit of time playing stickers with his momma:

And then we went for a walk. I love the light through the trees here:

Played a bit of t-ball:

Doesn’t mom look gorgeous here?

Big boy J was so obliging to turn and show me his nice smile while he ran :)

Swinging:

Giving mom some love:
It was really great to meet you guys!

This little one decided to give his/her parents a kick as we were taking some pictures on their couch – I love these expressions :)

And this lovely mama Erin asked, as I was leaving, if I thøught the line below her belly button (a.k.a. linea nigra – which, yes, I had to google in order to figure out the spelling) would show up in the photos. I gave her my usual answer to this question, which is, “Oh, I can edit it out if you don’t like it…” and I loved her response… “Oh, no, I’m hoping you will be able to see it. I think it’s cool. I feel like it looks like a seam.” :)

Love this:

A fun laughing one:

On the back deck:

And this one I’ve seen done, I can’t remember where, probably BabyCenter.com or somewhere… and so had Erin. She described it to me, and I knew what she meant. I don’t usually bring props, but she said she didn’t have blocks for her baby yet — come on, no blocks?! poor child is going to be needing those momentarily! :) But I said no problem, I’d bring some of my daughters’ blocks for this shot. But then when I went digging through the toys, I could only find one B block. So I brought a lowercase d, and promised her I’d fix it in Photoshop. Gotta love digital photography!
What a fun shoot! Great to meet you guys. Can’t wait to meet your little one in a few weeks.

I met Grace and Tony yesterday (Yes, I’m trying to keep up with my blogging for June! It’s a crazy month, but I’m really going to try to blog as soon as I can after shoots…) and got to spend some time taking pictures of these guys in their home and outside at a nearby park. I’m loving this one:

They had such fun together :) They said this was Tony’s favorite pose in their wedding pictures, too. It’s good to have a theme, I say.

So many natural, happy moments:

And we had a gorgeous day yesterday for sunny park pictures, too:

See what I mean about the pose? I love Grace’s expression here.

As we were walking back to their house after the shoot, Tony noticed how pretty Grace looked as he walked behind her, and asked me to take this one. So glad he did! Gorgeous.

It was so nice to meet you guys – and I can’t wait to meet your little man in a few weeks.
This beautiful momma and her husband had me over to their house earlier this week, and we got some sweet pictures of her pretty belly:

It was such a pleasure to spend some time with you guys – I love this contemplative one:

There are so many more that I love from the session – I can’t wait for you to look at them. And I can’t wait to meet your sweet girl in April!

I got to meet the lovely V and her husband last week in their fantastic apartment overlooking the Charles River. The huge windows made for really fun photographs:

At the time of these photos, V was due in three weeks – I love this of Dad feeling the baby:

This is one of my absolute faves. I love that you get a sense of place with the city behind them, and at first you almost don’t notice V’s sweet belly popping out in the middle.

I can’t wait to meet your sweet girl when she arrives. Thanks so much for having me!

I love it when families I’ve known for a while let me come back and experience a pregnancy through pictures. I started taking pictures of big five year old A when she was just a year old, and got to do teenie baby pictures of two 1/2 year old R when she was just a little one… and now I got to get excited with the family as they await #3:

I love this of the three cuties:

And the two big girls:

The whole crew. Wonderful to see you guys again – best of luck with the new arrival, I can’t wait to meet him/her! :)

Good luck with everything :)
So I’ve got lots of daddy pictures to post today from this fun session last weekend because Marni (the future best friend’s wonderful momma) needs to choose her Father’s Day photos, and time’s getting tight. Here’s one:
I met these guys about a year ago when we did A’s first photoshoot when she was just about a year old. And then they moved to Philly :( But then they planned a visit and we got to do photos again! Can’t wait to meet #2 when they visit again next year.
All your photos will be ready in the next few days. It was great seeing you guys last Friday and I can’t wait to show you all the fun shots. It was definitely worth the early drive!
