Cindy thank you for thinking of me. i simply love seeing my dear sweet Chad again, he looks so happy and handsome. I got goose bumps looking at his beautiful family. Handsome Boys. The pictures capture them beautifully. There definitely comes a point when what I ask my clients to do shifts from “fun, quick and crazy” to “soooooo embarrassing”. When this happens depends on the kid, but in this case it happened for 7 year old Z about ten minutes into the shoot. Makes her have the best expression here, though!
I think of it as a challenge, though. ;)

And my favorite part here is mama’s grin over her shoulder as all four zip past her. Not to mention that the estrogen takes the race (Oh, fine, maybe it was a little bit set up… but still awesome)…
Love how R is about to clasp his hand over R’s face (to stem the tide of spit that had previously been coming out), and if only you could see this zoomed in close / the spit flying out of W’s mouth is obviously visible in front of J’s face. Another awesome one.

…is a good sharer. He had his one year old pictures just a few weeks ago, so he called up his cousin Z and asked her if she wanted to join him for his mini-shoot in the Public Garden last weekend. She said, “Oh, cuz. Totally.” Her mama and daddy joined her:

The generous C-man thought that since he’d shared his mini-shoot, that Z should understand that this meant he retained all rights to any and all balls/fun equipment to be used at said shoot. Z wasn’t as into this idea.
They discussed it… C even let Z inspect the ball.
And after these guys squeezed all the fun that they could out of the ball, they moved on to snack time. “Um, C? Whatcha got in there? k’I have one?”

these are fantastic! the fact that the pics are taken in the Public Garden just make it all the more special It’s that time of the year again! We had a perfect day in the Boston Public Garden last Saturday (after only one rain reschedule), and twelve fantastic families came and met me for 20 minute minishoot appointments. I’ve been taking pictures of these fantastic guys since biggest brother P was just a wee one, and many many times since then. My favorite moment, by far:

Wonderful photos! I am loving this family shot – it’s hilarious and loud and loving all at once. Met these two beauties last week during their visit to see their grandparents from overseas. They had such fun playing by the pool:

no comments I say this every year, I know, but these guys make me so happy every time I have a shoot with them. They just ooze love out of every pore – their (now 5! year old – can’t believe it, kindergartener) sweet boy is just an absolute inspiration. As Kim (his mama) put it so eloquently on the contest page of my blog last year, as she described a photo from the 2010 shoot where Jack walked holding hands with his parents: Our family has been through so much in Jack’s four years. I love this picture so much because it inspires me to believe that anything is possible, and makes me proud to be the parent of such a special child. There were times that we were told Jack may not make it through the night or to his next birthday, but we never gave up hope. This picture to me symbolizes how far we’ve come and that we have to remember that life is a journey that you take one step at a time. Well they’ve taken lots of steps together this year, and Jack and his parents have tons to be proud of. Not the least of which is their huge, amazing love.

And this is my favorite series of two pictures – Jack was obviously really worried about going down the slide, but his mama helped him… she knew he could do it, so she gave him support and helped him get started.
And at the bottom of the slide… a little proud smile peeked out. So perfect.
But this guy loves NOTHING more than the swings.
Maybe partially because his parents are really fun.
But I know it’s so freeing to fly so high up there.
You guys inspire me every time I see you. So happy for you.

Gorgeous images. I am currently a part-time photography student at the BU Center for Digital Imaging Arts. You capture the kind of portraits I hope to capture. Last Saturday, just hours before Hurricane Irene made her way up the coastline, I met up with this fantastic family at Crane’s Beach in Ipswich. I tell you, if I could have ordered the weather for a beach photoshoot from a menu, I would have chosen exactly this day. It was gorgeous there at 9am! That, and they weren’t too hard on the eyes…
And there was FUN to be had…
Sometimes I just have to include one when mom looks just drop dead amazing – I love this! Model much?

no comments I met these guys at the house before heading over to their neighborhood beach, and I am just in love with this first picture we got — how perfect??
But then we zipped over to the beach and got some great fun pictures by the water and the trees…
The big guys decided they were going to help little sister S get going on her walking.
They coached and coached as she pushed up, up, up…
And wahoo – she got to a standing position! Walking… well, not in the grass today. But standing like a champ! And making her big sister and brother very proud :)
And don’t forget herself – making herself very proud too.
It was wonderful running around with you guys as always.
