Been a few years since I’ve seen these guys, and while their little sister M went from two to five in those years and has stayed adorable and super fun – big brothers A and C have spent those years growing into handsome, cool young men. They were even willing to hang out with their parents in the backyard and tickle their little sister.
First, Miss M:

C:

And A:

And just a couple mama/daddy littlest girl pictures…

Squeeeeeze.

You guys were fantastic, thanks for having me out!

Two years ago I met big sister M at her 3 month old photoshoot, and now these guys have moved and have welcomed a new little guy into their lives – G’s just 3 months in these pictures too. I loved this big window in the bedroom – cool family picture opportunities:

Doncha love the sweet ‘do?

Someone was interested in being the star of the show – she was awesome…

See what I mean?

And before I show you how super incredibly handsome G is, I have to show you these splayed fingers and perfect tootsies:

And now check this dude out.

Noting his cute belly button:

We had to zip outside for some bubble blowing:

With the whole clan:

And sometimes we just have to grab a mommy/daddy picture – our lives get going so fast when we’re parents, I love taking a minute at the end of a shoot to remember that all this started with a great couple of people coming together. Don’t be mad at me for loving this one when you’re getting squeezed, Melissa – it’s just too perfect!
Fun to see you guys again, thanks!

With over a thousand photoshoots under my belt, it’s hard to introduce a new kids activity to me. Not to say that I’m bored of any of it – I’ll play Legos and dressup and take fun pictures of it happily for the next many decades, don’t get me wrong. But this one was a totally new one for me. Raise your hand if you knew you could buy all different kinds of real-looking stuffed fish with little loops of string in their mouths – and that kids can hook them with their real fishing rods and practice reeling them in in the backyard. So super cool. This tiny fisherman fishes with his dad as often as he can (almost every night after work – LOVE it) and when he can’t get to a real watering hole, is content to cast and reel in his funky stuffed fish in the backyard. Just awesome.

His sister is a total swing addict. Been there – I hear you, M. Swinging rocks. Or as my Sadie calls it, “finging”. Not to mention the awesome tongue.

Now many years ago this fisherman daddy and I worked at a small company together – pre-marriages, pre-kids… and I just love getting to see people like this over the years as their kids grow up. Just such a wonderful family:

Running around outside:

Giving hugs:

Just being handsome:

And donning her custom-crocheted outfit from her grandmother…

Loved every minute of it, guys! So nice to see you.

I haven’t seen this gorgeous girl since she was a tiny twelve week old sweet thing, and just look at her 21 month old perfection now:

Running in the kitchen was by far her favorite activity:

She even got into the tub with her blue-jeaned mama for a few splashes for me.

And though it was March in New England, we zipped outside for a few, ’cause… why not?

Wonderful to see you guys again!

I love tossing leaves around for fall pictures!

Oh, and a little halloween puppy of course :)

I have to start at the end with these guys, because this is one of my favorite pictures of all time. Dad’s expression, looking over at Mom, who’s just coming into the frame. All four of them, piled up on him… it really couldn’t be more perfect.

Unless, of course, we piled all six of them onto the hammock and the strings of the hammock started breaking one by one, scaring the little guys and making the bigger ones dissolve into laughter until the whole crew ended up with butts on the wet ground. Good times make for really good pictures :)

But I digress…

Youngest to oldest… (actually, I’m not sure if I got the twins in the right age order or not…)

It was wonderful to see you guys again!

This is one family who knows how to have fun together:

And when baby M had a sad time, all three of the boys were so concerned with making her feel better…

The eldest:

One sweet twin inside:

And beautiful baby M:

Worms!

Wonderful to see you guys as always!

Mellow, fun – awesome. I love these guys. I’ve been taking pictures of these sweet twins since they were 3 months old, and now they’re big almost four year old kiddos. They’re such a great family, I love spending time with them every year.

The ATV’s have been upgraded this year, to a Barbie Jeep (complete with sunglasses) and a John Deer tractor. Fabulousness.

Love that daddy and J have exactly the same facial expression here, and mommy matches E…

The kisses just keep on coming.

Loved seeing you guys as always!

Big one year old C invited his grandparents to his shoot a couple of weeks ago, and it was fun from start to finish.

See what I mean about fun grandparents?

Wonderful seeing you guys as always!

OK, so I told myself I wasn’t going to edit ANY MORE until after my sister’s wedding next week. But then Heather and her family got all crazy on me and jumped off the stone wall this afternoon. In the late afternoon sunlight. No fair. I had to peek at a few, and then, of course, I had to edit a few. Then just post a handful. My first idea for their house was one huge jumping photo on canvas or something on a big wall, but now I’m picturing three in a row, telling the story of one awesome jump; by one awesome family.
Let me, though, liken this to what my sister and her beloved are doing this week. They’re standing at the edge of something incredible, and in just seven days they’re going to leap, mouths (symbolically, perhaps, not actually?) wide open, screaming, hollering, LEAPING into their life together. I love my sister, I adore her man, and I can’t wait to celebrate with them next week. And now, for some actual leaping…
Here’s one set of three I love together:

And then here’s the other set I love – can’t decide which is better…

Wonderful to see you guys. All your pix will be ready in about 10 days/two weeks.

Luckily she didn’t seem to mind :)

One of my dearest friends from high school is that crazy daddy over in the back of this picture, rough housing (is that one word or two?) with his munchkin -

Do you believe these eyes?

Happy toothy sister:

Eyelashes to beat the band:

Love mom’s patient expression, pleading with dad not to pull the tiny arms out of the tiny sockets…

You guys are awesome, and lollipops are magic!

These guys make having three kids look easy. They’re an absolute pleasure to spend time with, and I loved seeing them again.

Had to get one of the lovebirds, too ;)

It’s been seven years and nine shoots. I can’t express how much these guys mean to me – I LOVE taking their pictures and will move heaven and earth to get to see them for our annual shoot each year. I’m going to stick to my new plan of less verbose blog posts and let the photos speak for themselves…

OK, just have to tell you that Buzz and Woody have been part of almost every shoot. Great to see them again too!

Need a shot of each of the boys with Dad :)

And adding in three beautiful cousins only adds to the fun :)

And last but never least, my favorite shot – three boys with their beautiful mama.

Well I’m a little biased, because my Annie decided this past weekend after spending some time with this big one year old guy that he’s her baby sister’s future husband. So I was honored to photograph him this weekend when he was showing off some of his new skills. And granted, these weren’t his actual first steps… but come on – the scenery here (most likely) far exceeded the scenery where he had his actual first steps…
Doncha think? Maybe my favorite first steps pic EVER.

Handsome boy –

Beloved talking truck:

Fun at the cool old water pump:

Fun with everybody at the pump:

One more first steps moment…

Great to see you guys :)

As I go back through sweet 8 month old A’s photos from last weekend, it’s hard for me to find many where he’s not grinning ear to ear. I love this of him with his mama:

And then this one with the whole crew – I love their focus on the beloved pup (a nice change from that shot I always get where everyone’s looking at the baby):

Isn’t this one hilarious?

Some tickles with daddy:

Some hugs with mama:

This tush can’t be beat.

Funny faces:

So fun to see you guys!

Oh, and I had to include this one… you know the shoot’s over when…
