What beautiful pictures! D & G are so cute and sweet! In my line of work, sometimes it’s fun to give myself little challenges – little things that I keep an eye out for when I’m shooting. One of those things is the elusive dog lick picture. I love a good dog-licking-baby picture – and getting the dog’s tongue just the right amount out of his mouth while the baby’s also at that perfect moment where they’re not too annoyed by the attention… The fun thing here is if you click this “dog licking baby” link and get to a bunch of shoots where I’ve had dogs licking babies (yes, it’ll look at first like it’s not going anywhere, because you’ll see this post again – but scroll down, that link shows all the posts I’ve ever tagged with dog lick), the next post down after this one will be of this same pup: Harry, with his beloved little sister E. Our first shoot was back when she was just three weeks old, and now she’s three months old.
We did these pictures just an hour before her baptism this weekend, and she was just a perfect angel for the photoshoot.
Even with very little sleep the night before, she giggled and played…
And showed us how big she is on her mom’s pretty chaise – much bigger than last time, already!

Bellissimo sweet little Ellie! xoxo Sometimes it’s grandmothers who call me to book photoshoots, and often times those shoots happen around the holidays, when their families are together. It’s always mayhem, and I can almost guarantee someone will cry… but that’s what it’s all about, right? Capturing the insanity? Because why have two handsome sons if you can’t document a piece of the crazy lives they’re living with their 7, 4, 4 and 2 yr old kiddos? So I’ll get you situated with the big group shot first. Here’s our handsome crew.

P.S. These kind of shoots are what I call “a bunch of families together” in my pricing calculator, in case you’re curious. They can run a bit longer than my usual 45 minutes-1 hour. I think I stayed with these guys for about 90 minutes. But it’s nice because each individual family in the group ends up with photos for holiday cards, etc. no comments Hands down, my favorite. But there are so many fun ones here that we may need a caption contest… or maybe just a really cool holiday card… ;)

I am loving the hair on this baby, and the big eyes. Over Thanksgiving weekend, this sweet 4 1/2 month old guy had a huge crowd around – lucky guy. But first he got to get some pictures with just his mom and dad:

Beautiful pictures of a beautiful family! These guys are card carrying members of the “two under two” club, with a bonus 3 1/2 year old thrown in! Busy, busy, busy. And so much fun energy! 20 months old and 6 weeks old. So much love.
There’s something about the lines in this photo that I love. The artwork on the wall and the bedspread kind of tie it all up in a nice bow for me, too.
