The twins welcome a sweet boy

These guys live across the street from us, and are almost exactly my Annie’s age.  Got to run over and grab some photos of them with their teenie one week old brother this morning.  Don’t you love the urgency in their eyes as they check to see if he has stinky feet:

Before we even introduce their new brother, aren’t they kinda awesome just the two of them?

And here’s their sweet brother, only 9 days old.  Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!  He’s got his brothers’ eyes, I think.

Investigating all of his little parts:

This one is one of my favorites of the three together – can’t you almost hear them?

And I love this sweet little face as he contemplates the bed:

Looking up at mama, wrinkley skin and all:

Gazing out the window:

And one last moment with all three boys – I think maybe they’re related :)  It was so much fun to meet your newest boy, guys – thanks for having me over!

And there comes a time at any shoot when someone’s just done.  This guy was no exception, but isn’t his crying face perfect?

Shannon Costello - February 6, 2010 - 9:21 am

I love the pictures! He is absolutely beautiful! He looks like the boys. They seem very excited!

Lots of twin boy hugs

This photo has me giggling – even at this late hour. C grabs T to plant one on him, square in the center of his mouth. Hilarious. The hugs at this shoot were awesome – the boys had such fun playing together.

During this particular moment, C is seizing the moment and thinking, hmm… this might be my opportunity to take ownership of this baseball…

The ball was a source of fantastic interaction throughout the shoot :)

Playing with Dad was also a favorite activity:

And their ball handling skills were impeccable:

This one might be my top pic for an xmas card shot – kind of non-traditional, but I love how the boys are hiding mom and dad entirely! Too funny.

Dimple :)

Hollering:

High-five!

Wonderful to see you guys again.

Rockin twins

I’ve been taking pictures of these sweeties since they were just couple months old. Now they’re big and running all over the place! I love this frozen moment with piles of leaves in their hands:

Is that a leaf on your head?

In mommy’s arms:

Giggling with daddy in the leaves:

And this next one cracks me up so much. It’s not possible on this couch for the two of them to get further apart.

But give them a minute and they’re all scooted over next to each other telling secrets:

Lovely lady in the sun:

And look at this handsome boy:

And off they go!

Great to see you guys again!

Fun with three boys

Well, today was a GORGEOUS day for pictures! Normally I am behind by a week or two with the blog posts after I shoot them, but after I shot these cute boys this morning my next shoot had to cancel (feel better, Emily!) and although I’d brought my laptop for Starbucks editing just in case, I forgot to bring pictures to edit from last weekends’ shoots! Dummy. But, fun for this family, because these are the only pics I had with me… so they got edited :)

We had such fun. I’ve known these boys since they were teenie, and I keep saying this, I know, but they’re getting so big! They have such fun together:

Don’t you love how they make each other giggle?

And they move fast, these boys:

Littlest brother T had a ride on his car:

And he showed me his digger (his curls this year are incredible!):

One of the twins, big brother N, was excited to show me his baseball skills. He was great! This moment is one of my favorites:

And then, after a few tries, his dad said, OK, this is our last one.. and he clocked it! Right out of the park! HOME RUN! Love dad’s fist here, so psyched :)

And twin brother M showed me how he is so good at his letters. I love the intense concentration here…

And the little smile on his face he got when he said… Now the letters are going to be BIG! I love it.

You guys were fun and fabulous as always.

I’m so glad we got you into the calendar – thanks for a fun morning.

thanks Jess – we had a blast too!! amazing photos as always!

Two sweet sisters in tutus with their handsome bro

Don’t these little girls look like they’re having a heart-to-heart here? Little do they know their big brother is about to pop up and surprise them from behind their tutus ;)

And this picture I can’t get enough of. I love A’s wink from the background, as big boy L and baby girl L give me a conspiratorial glance.

You can see their bright eyes better in this one. I love this.

And a giggly 4 year old big brother L – we’ve been trying to get his picture done since this time last year… I’m so glad we finally got it, and that he had two new sisters to add to the fun!

Darling, almost 6 month old A, with a great tongue:

And lovely girl L:

Cheek to cheek (and I love A’s expression here, too – hilarious!):

So much fun to see you guys!

Two little balls of fun and their cool big brother

Are you kidding me with these three gorgeous boys?
We had one handsome boy:

His handsome twin brother:

And their big fun brother. I love how they literally climbed all over the furniture during the shoot :)

Then we went outside and the little guys got a ride:
4432 by you.

When big brother J took the reigns, that’s when the ride got fun ;)
4405 by you.

And they all got a kick out of peeking through the crook of a tree at me – this one of big J is my favorite, though:

The boys in the flowers

One year old twin guys A and S will, I’m certain, be horrified by this photo when they’re older. But you know what? That’s OK. Because really, who are these photos for? They’re not for the boys when they grow up! They’re for us, now. And I’ll tell you all the things I love about this. A’s tight sweet curls in back. S’s pucker. The daisies in crisp focus over on the side of the shot. The light framing the boys. The bokeh (photo term – just means out of focus background, spotty light like this). It really couldn’t be more perfect. What sweet, sweet boys.
2616 by you.

And they investigated the flowers fully after their smooch, too:
2613 by you.

Here they are inside with their big brother C, who I’ve been taking pictures of since he was just a few months old:
2433 by you.

I really don’t believe how big he is.
2660 by you.

S hid in the grass. But I found him ;)
2508 by you.

Sweet A pointed out where his big brother was:
2650 by you.

And never forget Stanley! He’s been a fixture in the photos all these years. What a handsome guy.
2496 by you.

Just a quick Stanley blast-from-the-past… here he is in 2005 with big brother C when he was only 3 months old. This shot…
2327 by you.

…reminds me of this shot. Both guys are bigger now, but that same echo of form happens here…

Ta-da! :) So much fun to see you guys again.

Four grinning girls

Saturday was a day of twins – these younger girls were my first set of the day, and they’re a big one year old already, I can’t believe it. I shot a lot of returning clients in the past couple of days, and I’ve just been overwhelmed by how quickly they’re all growing up. These guys were no exception. I love these smiles:
2148 by you.

Here’s sweet 1 year old L:
2239 by you.

And the other sweet, 1 year old G:
2253 by you.

And the baby girlies together. L on the left, G on the right here. Proud of me for being able to tell the difference? I’ll admit it, I cheated. G had some little boo boos on her forehead during the shoot, so I made note of who had the boo boos before I edited them out. :)
2220 by you.

And they can’t get enough of their big sisters:
2332 by you.

Lovely big sister A:
2272 by you.

And beautiful bigger sister E:

This is one of my very favorite shots from the day – as the big girls make the little girls giggle:

Amy - October 12, 2009 - 5:37 pm

They are so cute it makes me want to cry! Okay, they are my nieces, and I haven't seen them since August, which could also explain it.

Laura - October 13, 2009 - 2:52 pm

These are seriously the cutest pictures ever!

Two times the cuteness

These guys are 10 months old and full of energy! Their parents got a gift certificate a while back and decided to use it now, in time for the holidays.
4534 by you.

I wasn’t sure I could tell them apart, but after working on their pictures, I think I’ve got it now. Pretty proud of myself :)
4645 by you.

Knuckles with dimples are my very favorite.
4715 by you.

And they didn’t want to be shirtless. It was incredible to see how similar their upset times where… they were completely in sync. Tough for their hard working parents – but amazing to see.
4653 by you.

And the same position calmed both of them down. Isn’t it amazing?

It was a treat meeting you all – thanks for having me!

Three beauties on a gorgeous day

I have to admit I am SOOOoooo excited to welcome the warm weather back.  This weekend I had a Sunday full of really fun photoshoots, and we got to go outside to play in all of them.  Kids can really be themselves running around crazy outside – I just love capturing it:

Here’s the lovely big sister, enjoying the swings:

And the twins took turns on the chair inside – what fabulous smiles they had!

I’m so glad we had a beautiful day for your pictures – it’s been a long, cold winter… time for some outside fun!  Wonderful to meet you guys, thanks for having me out!

What great pictures. Great emotion!

A big brother and sister welcome their new twin brother and sister

4 year old big brother H likes to be the one to hold his new six week old sister and brother. Two year old sister P’s job was “patter”, though, and she did a fabulous job:

Three years of grins

I love going back and seeing families I’ve known since their babies were tiny – it’s so much fun for me. I met big brother W and big sister A three years ago when they were just a few weeks old, and now they have a sweet sister L:
09793 by you.

Ladies first, here’s the beautiful three year old now:

And sweet girl L – love her tongue here:

And the handsome three year old W:

And I love how A is getting her lips ready for her kiss here. Thanks for a fun photoshoot as usual!

And a set of twins makes FOUR gorgeous girls

I’ve known these big girls since they were just little girls, and now I got to meet their new six week old sisters – what a gorgeous foursome!
4500 by you.

Their parents said the best part of having two is that there’s no fighting over a new addition – each of the girls always gets to hold one :)

I love this one. Forty toes!

I’d love this one cropped in square for a holiday card, don’t you think?

And we had to get a few of just the little guys:

Looks like they’re sharing a secret, doesn’t it?

And then the big girls brought me outside to play for a bit, too. So wonderful to see you guys – thanks for having me!

Three cousins turn one

A couple of weeks ago, three cousins, all with birthdays a few weeks from each other, turned one.  I’ve said it before, but I find that birthday parties are best photographed in color.  So although I usually love b&w best… here are some color party shots.  The families enjoyed some delicious food:
3182 by you.

And they were lucky enough to kick off their 2nd year of life with some of the most gorgeous cupcakes I’ve ever seen! (And I just found out their mom is a pro – here’s a link to her cupcake company.)

And then the three birthday cuties enjoyed their cupcakes:

There was the first lovely 1 year old L:
