Lovely ladies running around together in the leaves – can’t beat it :)

And littlest girl A was so agreeable when the big girls decided to cover her in leaves:

Twinkley eyed girl:

Aren’t they gorgeous?

A toss in the air:

And a swing from mama:

Biggest sister C with her mama and a pinecone:

The girls are getting so tall!

Bye bye, sweets! Wonderful to see you guys.

This beauty I met when she was mere weeks old, and now she’s a big girl of three. Here she is, falling into a bowl. Hehe.

In her tutu, showing me her spinning top:

Isn’t she lovely?

We went for a little ride around the corner on her tricycle:

Then, you can only imagine my glee when we went across the street to a beautiful little pond… too many sweet moments to even post:

We got this one with the two of them in focus instead of the flower, too, but I much prefer this one. My assistant just looked over my shoulder and called it “fairy tale-ish”. Definitely.

A hug on the dock:

Investigating a ladybug:

Love love this:

I just have such fun with this little lady, I’m sad every year when the shoot’s over!

Flying!

And my favorite part about this one is mom’s hand in the edge of the frame. Um, that spot for lying down? Ummmm… making everybody nervous… I almost couldn’t take the picture. But I did ;) So much fun as always!

Woo hoo! It’s leaf throwing season! I love it, love it. This was all older brother H’s idea – he played prop guy and had the pile of leaves all ready for us when I arrived at 8am on Saturday morning. Impressive preparation skills!
And when the leaves are dry (i.e. not wet from weather, making your hands all cold) but not too crunchy (so they fall apart in your hands), nothing stops two energetic dudes from giving them a good toss. And the devilish smiles you get can’t be beat.

Sooo funny:

Again, glad the camera’s relatively weatherproof… ;)

Mayhem ensued…

But that was fine with me.

You guys are getting so big!

And we even had a chance to grab some inside pictures. This one at the bottom of their stairs almost looks like studio lighting to me. Their smiles are really just the best. So great to see you guys – thanks for starting the day early for me!

So I first took pics of this little beauty when she was 8 weeks old. Then again when she was 8 months old. And then last week we did photos again, and she’s 88 weeks old! Her parents are so good at this :) I hope we do it again before she turns 8!

We got to include her two older cousins in the shoot this time, and it was obvious how much she LOVES spending time with them:

We went walking to the park, and I looked down at O in her stroller, and she was holding hands with her cousin as she walked alongside! Had to snap it as a pic – isn’t it so sweet?

Look at that headband and fantastic pointing finger:

And the headband again – this time with a killer pout:

Sweet girl on the playground:

I think it’s possible this is the first time I’ve gotten the Zakim Bridge in the background of photo :)

The gorgeous cousins:

This next one is kind of Abbey Road-esque, but I love it. Great to see you guys!

I met big sister O back when she was a chubby cutie, and now she’s a big tall girl of almost three. Her little brother is 16 months old, and they loved running around together:

Aren’t they a handsome crew?

Tossed around:

Sit and spin:

Blowing bubbles:

And on one of those deadly hot days in the middle of August, bathing suits and playing in the water was just a requirement!

What a good sport little G was!

Wonderful to see you guys again!

My friend Mary talks about the magic of popsicles, and their elusive power over her children. She calls that time after you hand your children the popsicles, when all the crying stops – she calls it “popsicle calm”. I love it, because now I think of it every time I use popsicles to save the day at my house.
Now these guys didn’t really even need popsicles to fix a bad mood or anything, but they were just so incredibly cute with their melty messy faces.

Don’t you love the drips coming down sweet P’s elbows (on the left)?

Love these giggles from all:

Momma and her boy:

Daddy and his girl:

Hugs all around:

I have to admit I love breakdown pictures – it’s terrible of me, I know. But it’s so great how quickly they come in and out of these kinds of breakdowns. I don’t remember what big boy B had done to the poor maligned P here – but she was better quickly, don’t worry.

And this next one is my absolute favorite. An unexpected, wonderful moment – when the postman arrived with the mail. Can’t beat the tush, and their pup lined up waiting patiently too.
Great to see you all!

Here’s Mr. Nearly Two… isn’t he adorable? I’ve been taking pictures of these guys since before he was born, and this time all of a sudden he’d gotten so big!

And here’s Madame Recently Three. She was all about her Belle Princess dress – just adorable.

As he climbed up on some shelving – mischief!

And as we did last summer, we had to go outside and play with the hose with these guys. It was just a requirement – they have too much fun out there. And Mr. Nearly Two is sooo agreeable when his sister turns the deluge on him:

Luckily she doesn’t mind getting wet either.

Why is drinking out of a hose so fun? Not sure, but it is, I’ll give him that.

You guys are awesome – it was wonderful to catch up and see you.

This mom and I have been emailing since 2007 about doing a shoot with her family and two dogs… I’m so glad we finally got to do it. Back in April when she booked this shoot, she was concerned about her older pup, Annie – worried that her cancer might get the better of her before we got a chance to take these pictures. But she made it! Sweet old pup – she gave lots of love to 2 year old big boy G:

And these guys had lots of fun together:

A shot with the whole gang, yay!

And a toss in the air from dad:

A classic shot of this sweet boy. Isn’t he handsome? I love the way the windowshades are reflecting the light behind him, too.

This is apparently the face G always makes when they get to this page of “How Do Dinosaurs Say Good Night?” (he’s imitating a dinosaur crying, of course) :)

And I had to include this one – I love his expression as he finds his favorite garbage man. It was great to meet you guys and get a chance to take pictures of you all, thanks for everything!

The last time I saw this sweet girl she was only 18 months old, and now she’s a big three year old girl. I love this giggling picture with her parents:

Doesn’t she have fantastic curls?

Every hairdo, sweet as can be.

I love the way the light catches the plant growing on the side of this next shot. Can you tell I spend my weekends taking photographs and not gardening? I never know what plants are called! Nothing this beautiful grows in my yard at home :)

Pushing the hammock:

Getting a lift from her dad:

And then a lift from mom, too. Isn’t it neat the way the sunlight frames her face here, and makes her so obviously the focus of all our attention?

I loved spending time with you guys yesterday, thanks again for having me out. Have a great rest of your summer!
I love going back and seeing little guys every six months or every year – it’s so much fun to see how they grow up! I’ve been taking pictures of J since he was just a few months old, and now he’s a big boy of…

Reading his favorite book with Mom:

And looking just so grown up, I can hardly stand it!

And riding the swingset looking at piggies:

Wonderful to see your twinkling eyes as always!

I had an incredible day today as my daughter’s nursery school’s photographer – the kids were fantastic. And of course my favorite pictures are the crazy-faced ones. Had to do a little collage because they made me smile so much…

Thanks for a great day, guys! All the photos will be ready by the end of next week.
My 3 year old is home with me for the week, so I haven’t gotten much real work done, but we had a wonderful playdate this morning with my college roommate and her nearly 2 year old son. Here she is, playing the pied piper (Annie LOVES her):

And the kids got along so well, dancing and playing. Of course they could barely remember other times when they played together, it was like making a new friend:

And fast friends they were. Don’t they look related here?

Here’s one of the handsome dude by himself. I can’t believe he’s going to be two next month:

And my pretty girl, nearly 3 and a half (and just a couple of months from becoming a big sister!):

And I love this with Mr. Potato Head’s glasses :) Great to see you guys!

What an incredible year it’s been! Here’s another beautiful girl I’ve known since she was just a few weeks old. I’ve loved being there as little N has grown. Here she is now, in all her three year old glory:

And telling me all about her blocks:

So wonderful to see you again! Have a wonderful holiday, and see you next year :)

Handsome little G’s mom and I share a due date for our #2′s. Looks like next year’s card picture will have a chubby little cutie in it!

Peekaboo with the fabulous tree behind him:

Doing his puzzles:

And when I say I’m a baby photographer – I mean all kinds of babies…

Wonderful to see you guys as always!

I’ve been taking pictures of this beauty since she was just a tiny babe. And so often when people want to do fireplace pictures their livingrooms are too dark (and wonderfully cozy) to get good shots. Luckily, it was a bright chilly late November morning, and we had some lovely window light on beautiful girl E:

Nutcracker giggles:

Waiting for Santa?

Great to see you guys, thanks for being patient!
