The best part of this sweet little 5 week old guy is how engaged his eyes are in every picture, just adoring everything his parents do with him:

Even when he was VERY hungry…

And then he got a leeeetle sleepy…

But not before showing us a perfect pout:

Zzzzz….

Welcome little guy – so great to meet you all!

They got a new house, and we got to do another photoshoot :)
After their move this winter, these guys decided it was time for more pictures, and I was thrilled to get the chance to see them again.

I mean, how fantastic does it get?

And one of his signature ear pull/finger suck, just for posterity…

Run!

Defense needs some work…
Handsome middle brother R:

Also handsome big brother B:

Family energy – I love.
And we also got this one without the nerf gun aimed at me, but this one’s more fun :)
Great to see you guys!

We did little D’s pictures on Wednesday morning, when he was just six days old. His two big brothers were off at school, so we got to spend some quiet time getting just D and Mama pictures. Wonderfully sweet.
I’ll tease you a bit, before I introduce you…

And here we have Mr. D:

He even had a smile or two for us…

As well as some pretty fantastic scowls:

I love how different he is in each picture…

More smiles for his mama:

Aaaand then the yawns came. Try not to yawn yourself, looking at this. :)
Wonderful to meet you, little D!

I got to meet this seven week old sweetheart this morning – and I zipped through her edits so her mom and dad can have some fun holiday pictures to enjoy. Wonderful to see you guys!

Sweet G was born just five days ago, and her big 17 month old brother D is already getting a kick out of his new role as big brother. (Except that apparently he refers to her as his new dog…)

And I had to show you a few color ones, since it’s that festive red holiday time of year :) And I can’t forget to welcome these guys into my elite club of families with two under two!

Ho ho ho!

This is a fitting post to follow the one I posted yesterday, because they feel like they bookend my holiday season (and even my 2011) nicely. Yesterday on the blog I showed you a sweet little three month old girl in her baptismal gown, and it feels like it really was just yesterday that I was taking pictures of this sweet girl on at HER baptism in 2006. But really, it’s been six years now since her first photoshoot at 4 weeks old, and this weekend marked her tenth photoshoot with me.
And now, at six, all she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth :)

Wonderful to see you guys, as always. Thanks for hitting the big #10 with me!

In my line of work, sometimes it’s fun to give myself little challenges – little things that I keep an eye out for when I’m shooting. One of those things is the elusive dog lick picture. I love a good dog-licking-baby picture – and getting the dog’s tongue just the right amount out of his mouth while the baby’s also at that perfect moment where they’re not too annoyed by the attention…
The fun thing here is if you click this “dog licking baby” link and get to a bunch of shoots where I’ve had dogs licking babies (yes, it’ll look at first like it’s not going anywhere, because you’ll see this post again – but scroll down, that link shows all the posts I’ve ever tagged with dog lick), the next post down after this one will be of this same pup: Harry, with his beloved little sister E. Our first shoot was back when she was just three weeks old, and now she’s three months old.

We did these pictures just an hour before her baptism this weekend, and she was just a perfect angel for the photoshoot.

Even with very little sleep the night before, she giggled and played…

And showed us how big she is on her mom’s pretty chaise – much bigger than last time, already!

Reading Christmas books with mama:

Love that she’s peeking at her “1st Christmas” ornament here!

Mama and daughter in their pretty Christening dresses:

She did catch a wink before the big event…

Grandma’s pretty hands with baby E:

With her Godmother and Godfather, in her Christening gown and bonnet that her mom, uncle and grandma all wore…

Big cousin, with her fantastic hairdo and dimple:

And last of all, grandma with her three pretty girls:

Loved seeing all you guys! Hope the big event was a huge success :)

Over Thanksgiving weekend, this sweet 4 1/2 month old guy had a huge crowd around – lucky guy. But first he got to get some pictures with just his mom and dad:

With mom and dad:
And with his grandparents:

And the whole team:

Wonderful to see you guys! It’s exhausting being the star of the show.

Best best best. Love this.

But I’m also kinda digging this one:

Oh fine, I’ll show you their handsome faces :)

Mr. Almost 6 months:
‘
Mr. 7:

And Mr. 10:

Of course we had to do a Broncos picture – as all three “Tebow” for me:

Really fun pictures, thanks guys :)

These guys are card carrying members of the “two under two” club, with a bonus 3 1/2 year old thrown in! Busy, busy, busy. And so much fun energy!
20 months old and 6 weeks old. So much love.

There’s something about the lines in this photo that I love. The artwork on the wall and the bedspread kind of tie it all up in a nice bow for me, too.

Kinda love the mayhem in this one.

Love that dad made this face at/with J:

And so did Mom :)

Dimple :)

Really fun to see you guys as always!

I hadn’t seen these sweets since they were just tiny newborn babies, and now look how big and wonderful they are!

First little miss:

And his highness:

Getting giggles with mama:

The ladies, lunching:

The gentlemen, playing:

Where are the babies??

There they are!

Pensive little lady…

Do you BELIEVE the eyelashes?

Of course we had to end with tub time…

And S’s favorite part of tub time? The ending shower :)
Wonderful to see you guys again!

And in fairness, one more of madame showing off her tooth. Thanks guys!

Where to begin?
Well, we have the kind of junior, mellow tickle attack…

And then we have the more advanced, grown-up tickle attack:

Did I forget to mention the rolls and the perfect baby cheeks?

OK, back to the list. The nose smash –

Quick break for another couple of good old fashioned smilers:

And the leaf toss. Not to mention we had our South End backdrop, with the gorgeous buildings behind. Too perf. (The facial expression here also makes me very happy.)

Wonderful to see you guys again, it was really fun!

Number one, total fave, right here. LOVE the bit of mom and dad that we can see – mom’s curls, dad’s toe. And the expression can’t be beat.

Loved seeing you guys, as always.

If you’re a peruser of my blog you’ve seen these faces before. For many years – and I love that their family gets crazier and more awesome every time I see them.

Chicken-fight!

Love all four expressions here:

Really love this one.

Crazy dancing:

We’ll do oldest to youngest:

And wait for it…
Pow. Gorgeous, eh?

You guys rock, as always. See, Jackie? I totally didn’t mention the fistfight. I’m good that way.

There definitely comes a point when what I ask my clients to do shifts from “fun, quick and crazy” to “soooooo embarrassing”. When this happens depends on the kid, but in this case it happened for 7 year old Z about ten minutes into the shoot. Makes her have the best expression here, though!

I think of it as a challenge, though. ;)

The shadows here are so cool in the afternoon sun:

Fun to run around with you guys!
