I got to meet this seven week old sweetheart this morning – and I zipped through her edits so her mom and dad can have some fun holiday pictures to enjoy. Wonderful to see you guys!

Beautiful pictures of the Vonnegut Clan! You did an outstanding job of capturing them. They look fantastic! Sweet G was born just five days ago, and her big 17 month old brother D is already getting a kick out of his new role as big brother. (Except that apparently he refers to her as his new dog…)
And I had to show you a few color ones, since it’s that festive red holiday time of year :) And I can’t forget to welcome these guys into my elite club of families with two under two!

What beautiful pictures! D & G are so cute and sweet! I met 2 year old C when he was his teenie new brother’s age. And now look at him. All growed up :) I’ll let the photos tell the story here – these guys were just perfect.
Handsome as the dickens! And really only 2 1/2 weeks here.

Awesome Pictures. Hope to meet the new guy soon. Big brother W is eight and a half, and his new perfect brother N was only seven weeks old when we took these photos a few weeks ago. This means these guys are already fast friends, with little N already kicking W in the face with those strong little legs…

no comments When my husband and I were looking to buy our first house, our oldest daughter Annie was one and a half, and we looked in lots of towns around the Boston area before we chose the one we did. I mumble the name of the town sometimes when old friends ask me where we ended up, because… we moved to the town I grew up in. It’s a little embarrassing – it seems very small town, not very chic or modern to move back to the town where your parents live. My sister was horrified when we chose to move here. ”Seriously?” she’d asked me. “Not even one town over?” But we did it for so many reasons, and now we love it for so many reasons. But topping the list of the reasons is that we’re down the street from my favorite ice cream store in the world. I have sampled many, many ice cream shops in my 36 years, and nothing compares to the Ice Creamsmith on Dot Ave in Lower Mills. It is the creamiest, most delicious ice cream ever. Maybe I say this because I was brought up on it, and back in the day trips to the Ice Creamsmith seemed rare and extraordinary. Now those same owners who served me my chocolate with bubble gum mix-ins in the 80′s (ah no, no longer my fave) – David and Robyn – know Annie’s order when she walks in the door (except when she decides to change it up and deter from her usual “chocolate with m&m’s”). Soon enough my 2 year old Sadie will have a “usual” and be greeted with the familiar smile too. So imagine my thrill when I found out David and Robyn were getting a granddaughter! I got to meet her last Tuesday when she was just 2.5 weeks old, and she was a perfect dream:

Beautiful pictures of my beautiful great-neice. Now it’s possible Harry the fabulous black lab was overly affectionate during my visit last Friday, but it’s also possible he showers his new sister E with this many kisses all day every day. He is enamored, and I think it’s possible he’s spent the last month with E giving her as much love as he possibly can. Happy 4 week birthday today, E, sorry these pictures took me all week to get to you!
I mean, come on now – aren’t the licks just perfect? E really didn’t seem to mind too much, except maybe in this next one, as her eyes tell Daddy she’s maybe not having as much fun with the licks as she was before :) I do love dog/baby kissing pictures. Whenever I get a good one, I tag the post, so if you like them too, there are more here (keep scrolling down the page after you click to see the other ones).
So back to the beginning. When I first arrived, baby E was snoozing on mama, but we had to grab a quick shot of her on this gorgeous antique chaise (is this a chaise?) with dragonflies on it. She’s so tiny snoozing here.
But I should let you get a good look at her. Isn’t she just perfect?

Congratulations! Anxious to meet the new little guy in Nashville. Terrific photos. I met big girl T a few years ago when she was just a few weeks old, and her sister C joined the family just a week before our photoshoot, so I got to do another newborn shoot with these guys. Isn’t she beautiful? This lovely lady even smiled :)

no comments I met these handsome boys two weekends ago, big 22 month old brother P, and little three week old brother N; and I was so impressed by how much attention P was lavishing on N. I can only imagine the buddies they’re going to become in the next few years. It’s so exciting for me to get to see the beginning of a relationship like theirs :) They’ve joined the ranks with many other fantastic families in my two-under-two club. When I get to do a two-under-two shoot I am always excited for the challenge and ready to roll with it. Never know what’s going to happen! These guys were just wonderful. I think this was my favorite moment, though:

no comments When this mama called me to document her fourth baby’s newborn pictures, I was so excited to see his tiny cuteness compared to his big brothers and sisters. Well Mother Nature conspired against us, and we had to move our shoot day due to all this crazy snow, so only one big two year old brother was home to introduce me to the new arrival…
But that’s OK – he was pretty perfect and ready for his closeup all by himself. Isn’t he handsome?
