Don’t these little girls look like they’re having a heart-to-heart here? Little do they know their big brother is about to pop up and surprise them from behind their tutus ;)

And this picture I can’t get enough of. I love A’s wink from the background, as big boy L and baby girl L give me a conspiratorial glance.

You can see their bright eyes better in this one. I love this.

And a giggly 4 year old big brother L – we’ve been trying to get his picture done since this time last year… I’m so glad we finally got it, and that he had two new sisters to add to the fun!

Darling, almost 6 month old A, with a great tongue:

And lovely girl L:

Cheek to cheek (and I love A’s expression here, too – hilarious!):

So much fun to see you guys!

I can’t believe it took me this long to meet beautiful little girl E. I was so excited to meet her – her momma was my Student Advisor at Conn College when I was a freshman… I love being able to give back to people years later!
So although color is never my fave, I had to snap a few in color of baby E in her costume. Adorable pumpkin!

Those teenie toes:

Those teenie fingers:

Giggling with her daddy:

Gorgeous girl! Look at those eyes :)

The whole fam:

Smiles for mama:

Isn’t she such a tall girl? I’m partial to tall girls ;)

And JJ, I left this in color just for you. Those eyes are still blue like mama’s!

Love this yawning swaddle:

It was such a treat to meet your sweet girl and see the new house – thanks for having us!
So again this year I invited our neighbors over for a photoshoot in our backyard, to get excited for Halloween. I hate how the pictures we take on Halloween night need to use flash, so I like to get some great shots before the big night.
We were joined by…
A lovely mouse:

One of the monsters from Monsters Inc. I can’t remember the name of the monster! Cute nonetheless :)

A veterinarian:

A buzzy bee:

Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz:

A big sister bear:

And a little brother bear:

Buzz Lightyear and his twin brother Wall-E:

The cutest cow in the land:

Penguin sisters:

Hannah Montana, with her trusty wig and mic:

A pirate:

The vet checking out the cow:

Wow, the Statue of Liberty brought her homemade Chrysler Building!

A fire-breathing dragon:

Ariel:

And another wow – homemade Palace Guards!

So much fun to see all you guys. I love this time of year!
I know these guys trust me enough to let me choose this one as my favorite family shot for the blog… I got a normal, traditional, gorgeous fam shot, too, I promise ;) This one just makes me smile so much I had to share it. I love how W is looking over at L and Mom’s laughing and rolling her eyes. Just awesome.

Their house was under construction so we borrowed Uncle Mark’s backyard for the pictures… until he came and scooped up the kids, that is!

Aren’t they just amazing cuties? I’ve been taking their picture every year since they were just little guys, and they’ve gotten so tall all of a sudden this year.

A hug from dad:

And one from Mom, too.

Big handsome W:

And lovely big girl L.

Wonderful to get a chance to see you guys!

Sometimes when you’re going for this kind of picture:

It’s also good to grab some like this along the way. Because, you know, life is kind of more like this, really, isn’t it?

Sorry, I forgot my manners. Introductions. The newest member of the fam, Mr. L:

The little lady of the house, Ms. C:

And the most senior member of the kiddo crew, Mr. R:

What a bunch of cuties!

Showing his pushup skills:

Giving the swing a push:

And getting a kick out of life. It was great to see you guys again!

Are you kidding me with these three gorgeous boys? We had one handsome boy:

His handsome twin brother:

And their big fun brother. I love how they literally climbed all over the furniture during the shoot :)

Then we went outside and the little guys got a ride:

When big brother J took the reigns, that’s when the ride got fun ;)

And they all got a kick out of peeking through the crook of a tree at me – this one of big J is my favorite, though:

“Will it bother you guys if I holler at you really close? No?”

Thanks for having me over – it was really fun!

This little one even saw me out :)

I’ve seen this sweet girl every six months since she was first born – and every time I see her I’m thrilled and amazed at her wonderful energy and perfect smile. She started off a bit shy…

But with some funny faces from mama:

And some counting with me:

And some peeking at the passing cars out the window on Storrow Drive:

She had a great time. She had a great run-around on the deck with her duckie baby:

And was even mastering the answer to “How old are you now?”. Wonderful to see you as always!

Lovely ladies running around together in the leaves – can’t beat it :)

And littlest girl A was so agreeable when the big girls decided to cover her in leaves:

Twinkley eyed girl:

Aren’t they gorgeous?

A toss in the air:

And a swing from mama:

Biggest sister C with her mama and a pinecone:

The girls are getting so tall!

Bye bye, sweets! Wonderful to see you guys.

When I got to these boys’ Charlestown home last weekend, their mom told me she’d hung a white sheet in a room upstairs and wanted to start with some simple, studio-style shots. The light in the room she’d chosen was lovely, as were her gorgeous boys:

We got plenty of giggles from all three:

And only one near-strangulation shot ;)

Then we went out to their backyard, and Dad set up this shot while mom was getting something inside… aren’t you impressed? I bet mom will be :) Three handsome dudes:

And the big boys impressed me with with their Razor scooter speed:

Then we went to a nearby park to hang out and play, and mom brought some theatrical snow to toss in the air… so fun! The boys thought it was hilarious :)

Until some landed in those big smiling mouths. Oops. Leetle spit there…

But even so, we all really couldn’t stop laughing. Such a fun idea.

Look at these grins:

And the smallest little guy too:

So when it was time to pack up and go, little guy C was ready to wave and head out :) We had a really fun shoot as always! Great to see you guys.

This beauty I met when she was mere weeks old, and now she’s a big girl of three. Here she is, falling into a bowl. Hehe.

In her tutu, showing me her spinning top:

Isn’t she lovely?

We went for a little ride around the corner on her tricycle:

Then, you can only imagine my glee when we went across the street to a beautiful little pond… too many sweet moments to even post:

We got this one with the two of them in focus instead of the flower, too, but I much prefer this one. My assistant just looked over my shoulder and called it “fairy tale-ish”. Definitely.

A hug on the dock:

Investigating a ladybug:

Love love this:

I just have such fun with this little lady, I’m sad every year when the shoot’s over!

Flying!

And my favorite part about this one is mom’s hand in the edge of the frame. Um, that spot for lying down? Ummmm… making everybody nervous… I almost couldn’t take the picture. But I did ;) So much fun as always!

I was excited that these guys nabbed the 9am waiting list spot on Sunday morning when it became available at the last minute – I’ve been taking pictures of their family since their 6 year old son A was only 5 months old! I couldn’t imagine a holiday season without them.
Four year old L was all about the kisses… receiving them from her mama:

Planting them on her dad:

And threatening her brother with them. Don’t you love his expression here? Um, I don’t know about this…

When I noticed how much these guys looked alike in this shot, I had to post them side-by-side. Siblings much?

A nice moment with mom:

And a photoshoot isn’t complete without some upside-down grins:

Look at those legs on both of them! When did you guys get so BIG?

Big boy:

And as we were walking back to our cars at the end of the shoot – me with lens cap attached to the camera… big girl L noticed a great picture spot, and she and her brother ran for it. I followed dutifully, and look at that. She was right. She has a great eye! (Well, two of them, actually.)

Great to see you guys as always.

This big handsome boy loved showing me his skills with a crayon this past weekend:

And giving his dog some love. I adore this pup’s expression here. It’s so patient, but yet so knowing… As if he’s saying, “Really, guys? Really?” Reminds me of a photo I took a few years back of my little girl and our cat.

He took a bit of time playing stickers with his momma:

And then we went for a walk. I love the light through the trees here:

Played a bit of t-ball:

Doesn’t mom look gorgeous here?

Big boy J was so obliging to turn and show me his nice smile while he ran :)

Swinging:

Giving mom some love:
It was really great to meet you guys!

I’m editing some pictures right now that reminded me of this photo. I took it in July 2007 of my older daughter, Annie, when she was nearly 2 years old with our very patient kitty, Pocheen.
One year old twin guys A and S will, I’m certain, be horrified by this photo when they’re older. But you know what? That’s OK. Because really, who are these photos for? They’re not for the boys when they grow up! They’re for us, now. And I’ll tell you all the things I love about this. A’s tight sweet curls in back. S’s pucker. The daisies in crisp focus over on the side of the shot. The light framing the boys. The bokeh (photo term – just means out of focus background, spotty light like this). It really couldn’t be more perfect. What sweet, sweet boys.

And they investigated the flowers fully after their smooch, too:

Here they are inside with their big brother C, who I’ve been taking pictures of since he was just a few months old:

I really don’t believe how big he is.

S hid in the grass. But I found him ;)

Sweet A pointed out where his big brother was:

And never forget Stanley! He’s been a fixture in the photos all these years. What a handsome guy.

Just a quick Stanley blast-from-the-past… here he is in 2005 with big brother C when he was only 3 months old. This shot…

…reminds me of this shot. Both guys are bigger now, but that same echo of form happens here…

Ta-da! :) So much fun to see you guys again.

Saturday was a day of twins – these younger girls were my first set of the day, and they’re a big one year old already, I can’t believe it. I shot a lot of returning clients in the past couple of days, and I’ve just been overwhelmed by how quickly they’re all growing up. These guys were no exception. I love these smiles:

Here’s sweet 1 year old L:

And the other sweet, 1 year old G:

And the baby girlies together. L on the left, G on the right here. Proud of me for being able to tell the difference? I’ll admit it, I cheated. G had some little boo boos on her forehead during the shoot, so I made note of who had the boo boos before I edited them out. :)

And they can’t get enough of their big sisters:

Lovely big sister A:

And beautiful bigger sister E:

This is one of my very favorite shots from the day – as the big girls make the little girls giggle:

High up in the sky:

Come back, come back!

So wonderful to see you guys!
