And this cracked me up. I was trying to get a picture with the lollipops out of their mouths, so I said – “Put your lollies in the air!”, but Miss A heard “Put your lollies in your hair!” Luckily their parents are the best sports ever and they got a big laugh out of the sticky mess that ensued. Sorry guys! Adorable pictures, sorry about the snarls. The rest of the pics will be ready by the end of the week.
Here are the four cousins in a nice row, from left to right, A, who’s 15 months old, E, who’s almost 2, and then A, who’s 5 years old and last but not least, M, who’s 3 years old.
Meet beautiful little 16 month old S. It was ten days ago now that I took her pictures, and her family’s been very patient! A sweet little this little clasped hand one:
I have to start by saying I’m sorry to the six families who are waiting for their photos to be posted right now – but I had to jump the line for this little guy. He was born this morning, and because his parents are our very best family friends, after we visited them in the hospital I needed to blog his pictures right away.
This is the first time (since my own little munchkin) that I’ve photographed anyone who was mere hours old, instead of days. And he truly is just perfect. I am in love already – as are his wonderful mom and dad:
This is my husband holding the little guy, with his best friend (and new dad) looking on. Could they ever have imagined this when they were taking baths together at age 2 and 4?
I’ve been taking pictures of J and L since J was just a chubby bald baby – now he’s such a big boy! I love this sweet moment with the two of them. It’s not often that you can get a two year old and a four year old to relax together, but when it works, it really works.
Often times I get a chance to capture kids with their beloved nannies – this was one of those times. Dad was a big help making crazy faces behind me for this one, can you tell?
We got a zillion photos of this fun family being crazy and laughing, but the few quiet ones like this were so different and cool… I love it. You’d never know mom is expecting her third boy this fall!
Do you believe how sweet this little 5 month old cutie’s hand is on her pup’s back? They were so good with her during the shoot… looking out the window together:
As I was packing up the camera bag, after K had had her bottle and her mom put it down on the couch… I had to get just one more “baby” photo.
Doesn’t he look like he’s just finished an afternoon snack?
It was great meeting you guys a few weeks ago – your photos will be ready ASAP! (To other waiting families, I’m still running about 2 weeks behind on the blogging, sorry everybody!)
Oh, and P.S. – I forgot to mention that this family hired me because they’d seen this old photo of cutie M with her pug from years ago… Doncha just love pugs?
I met this 8 month old beauty when she was 8 weeks old, and she’s come a long way since then! These photos are from a little over two weeks ago now – so thanks for your patience, guys. Obviously the girlie is still gorgeous:
See, I wouldn’t have thought of this aspect of adoption – but it makes so much sense…
This sweet family had fun family photos all over their house showing their older three children, but when they adopted T, they realized they needed to update the picture frames with their new family. I’m so glad they did, because it meant I got to spend some time with them.
I should introduce the eldest, the handsome 16 year old G, for whom, (and this doesn’t make me feel old or anything) I used to babysit when I was a teenager:
I went to business school with J’s beautiful mom – and I had a great time meeting her family a few weekends ago. (Yes, I’m a few weeks behind on the blog posts, sorry… took some time off around 4th of july.)
I love this sweet shot with their pup – and the fact that he’s licking dad right on the mouth cracks me up.
And there’s just something about this one I love… it’s so tender… so sweet. The comparison of the two shoulders – just directly across from each other… but one is so tiny. Also just love the fat little fingers.
I met big sister K when she was little brother C’s age – and I loved coming back to see what a big girl she’s become. It’s always so fun for me to see kids years later – I love to see the way their smiles stay the same.
I’ve been taking pictures of Eric and Julie Mangini’s family since they lived here in Boston and Eric was a Patriots coach. Now he’s in NY, coaching the Jets, and they remain one of my most fabulous clients ever. I love their family – every time I take pictures for them, they’re always so welcoming and wonderful. I can’t say enough nice things about them.
We had (what I think was) my 7th photoshoot with their family this past weekend at their cape house, and Julie showed me a wonderful piece that CBS’ Early Show did on Eric and his dad, Carmine, back from around Father’s Day. It’s posted on YouTube, so I can link to it here, but I should warn you that the audio sync doesn’t play well with the video at all for some reason. The cool part for me is that they used tons of pictures I’ve taken at their photoshoots over the years in the piece. I took all the family shots that appear as the narrator is talking – isn’t that fun? Thanks for sharing the link, Eric and Julie – and this summer’s pictures will be ready for you in a couple of weeks!
Last weekend I spent Sunday morning with these guys and had loads of fun. They both got the giggles on the swings, which I loved. It’s almost hard to shoot when kids are laughing this hard because I start to giggle, the camera starts to shake… but it’s worth it.
And brace yourself – this is, by far, the funniest picture I’ve taken in a long time. I love it. It could be captioned so many ways, I’m thinking I’m going to leave it uncaptioned because it tells such a great story on its own.
This lovely grandma called me last week to see if I happened to have any times available over the weekend for photos. Her whole family was going to be in town, and she wanted to get all sorts of photos of them. I’d had a cancellation, which meant I got to come to her house on Saturday. Here’s her newest grandson, 8 day old B – with his beautiful mom.
